Go Global – available now! 

Following the success of The ShelterBox Challenge 2010, the Young ShelterBox team has been working hard to develop a new series of resources to help YOUR Colony, Pack, Troop, Unit or Network discover more about international issues.

The Go Global packs, which are now available, are crammed with activity ideas and supporting resources to make exploring the Global Zone fun and easy. You can download each section's pack to the left of this screen.

NOTE: these resources have been designed to support the UK scouting programme. Therefore their contents may not be entirely appropriate for other countries.

How it works 

In 2010, a team of Scouting volunteers came up a way todescribe what ‘global’ is:

Global Awareness is learning how global issues affect local, national and international communities

Global Movement is about discovering more about Scouting locally, nationally and internationally

Global Action is about enabling and empowering Scouts to make a difference in their world; recognising that Scouts need to make a difference (individually or collectively) in their local, national and international communities

Go Global is divided into these three areas. Each area has corresponding activities that focus around different elements of ShelterBox’s work. Once your section has completed at least one activity from each area, they’ll have completed Go Global!

The activities 

The exciting activities are all designed to be flexible and adaptable. By completing the activities your section will create their own instruments, spend a night under the stars and so much more.

What do I do? 

Get going! Each section's Go Global pack can be downloaded to the left. You'll find all the information you need to get started and explore international themes with your section. You can also register for a pack of complimentary goodies to help you cover the programme - simply email us with your name, address, Scout Group name, section type and number of young people you expect to participate.

When you’ve discovered more about Global Awareness, Global Movement and Global Action, you can order your section’s Go Global certificate and prize! Just fill out the order form here
