Guernsey Beavers have fun with junk for Shelterbox!
12/03/2010
Over 100 Beavers from the various Colonies in Guernsey have raised over £980 for ShelterBox! The Beavers reached this whopping target by holding a sponsored campout, where they each had to sleep in used cardboard boxes.
Each Beaver had to decorate their home for one nights with many even adding windows!
Liz Waring, Assistant Bailiwick Commissioner for Beavers said: 'It has been a wonderful weekend. Beavers, Leaders and helpers have had the opportunity to learn and experience new things whilst having fun and forging new friendships. The icing on the cake has been being able to help such a worthwhile cause as Shelterbox. What more could we ask for!'
